When Jason did something bad, sometimes we used to say “Why did you do that?”
In the past few weeks he has been picking up a lot more words and phrases and this has become one of his favorite. Whenever he makes a mess or does something mischievous, he says “Why Did?”
Here is a video of him after he turned off my computer. He also recently had his second haircut.

Jason is on the phone with Mom. Music is playing, so he is dancing. This is one of his favorite CDs.
We took Jason on his second big trip. This time we went to Florida!
Jason was very well behaved while traveling and had a lot of fun. We stayed at a resort where he enjoyed playing in the pool. We went to Magic Kingdom and he kept shouting “Baby!” in the Hall of Presidents. We also played mini golf, went shopping, and went out for dinner each night. The best dinner was at Cici’s Pizza!

Just a quick video that I really like. Jason is eating some avocado while music is playing. (It is one of my favorite CDs of all time: Star by Belly from 1993).
Lately, he wants to take the telephone or video camera every time he sees us using it. I had to sneak up on him to get him on video before he noticed.
Since the last update, Jason has attended two birthday parties. The first was for his cousin George and the second was for his Mom!
Jason had a great time playing with his cousins and the other children. He played on a small bike and also in a big inflatable castle with a slide.
At Mom’s party, he ate a lot of food and cake. He was very polite and well behaved.

Over the weekend Jason officially turned 18 months old!
He had his 18 month doctor visit the day before. His height came in at 33.5 inches- that’s an increase of almost 4 inches in the five months since his last check up! His weight came in at almost 24 pounds.
This post has some pictures of Jason at play. Some of his favorite things to play with are toy cars and his popcorn popper. He also likes to rearrange our DVDs and books into one pile at a different location. Best of all, he likes to surround himself with pillows or (possibly) build a little fort around himself. Outside he likes to pick all of the flowers off of the plants, push his stroller, or run a little course up the stairs and down the hill.
Next week Jason will be one and a half years old!
He’s been growing up fast. He says many different words and has many fun ways of playing and expressing himself. He says “blueberry”, “strawberry”, “apple”, “don’t”, “did”, “no”, “yeah”, “baby”, “up”, “down”, “water”, “on”, “go”, “hi”, “bye”, “this”, “ball”, “gimme” “done” “wow” and some words he made up himself like “bebo”, “onie” and “dowa”. There are many more words that he can say and understand, with the list growing every day. He also tries to repeat things we say, even if he doesn’t know what the words mean yet.
For playing, he likes to put on Mom’s slippers and walk around the house. Lately he has also been taking my place at the computer every time I leave my chair. He has been a great help and an asset to the business!

On Friday Jason had his first haircut!
We went to Happy Kids Haircuts in Dobbs Ferry. He sat in his own little airplane and watched Max & Ruby while he had his hair cut. He behaved perfectly the entire time and the haircut was done in about five minutes!
